A Handel recital with Karina Gauvin

Canadian Karina Gauvin is one of the truly great sopranos exploring the baroque opera and it is said that her crystal-clear voice dances with ease around whatever musical challenge that comes her way.

Gauvin started her formal studies with Marie Daveluy at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal. After that, she went to Glasgow and studied with Pamela Bowden at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. During her fantastic career, she has won a string of coveted awards for her work. She has sung with some of the greatest orchestras in the world, such as Chicago Symphony, Les Violons du Roy and Los Angels Philharmonic to mention but a few.

Together with Trondheim Symfoniorketsers early music orchestra, TSO Tidlig, she will allow us the pleasure of enjoying some of the baroque operas biggest hits, in the grand ballroom of the Freemasons in Trondheim.

Welcome to a most enjoyable night at the opera!
